Primary Health Solutions Breaks Ground on New Health Center in Preble County

Primary Health Solutions (PHS) officially broke ground on the future Eaton Health Center, marking an important step towards expanding access to affordable, comprehensive healthcare for the residents of Eaton, Preble County and surrounding communities.

Located at 1204 N. Barron St. in Eaton, Ohio, the approximately 6,400-square-foot health center will become the first Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Preble County, bringing multiple healthcare services together in one convenient location and making it easier for patients to access the care they need closer to home.

The Eaton Health Center will offer:

  • Primary Care
  • Dental Services
  • Behavioral Health
  • Pharmacy Services

By bringing these services together under one roof, PHS will make it easier for patients to access coordinated care without having to travel to multiple locations for their healthcare needs.

“This is an important investment in Eaton and Preble County,” said Stephen Roller, President & CEO of Primary Health Solutions.

“When people have access to convenient, quality healthcare, they are better able to stay healthy, care for their families and remain active in their workplaces and communities. Strong access to healthcare helps create stronger families, a stronger workforce and a stronger local economy. Every time we expand access to care, we have an opportunity to improve health outcomes, strengthen families and build healthier communities. That is why we are here today,” said Roller.

The Eaton Health Center represents PHS’s continued commitment to expanding access to healthcare throughout Southwest Ohio and ensuring people can receive high-quality, compassionate care closer to where they live and work.

As an FQHC, PHS provides care regardless of a patient’s ability to pay and offers a discounted/sliding fee schedule based on family size and income. The Eaton Health Center will extend that mission into Preble County, creating a new community-based resource for individuals and families seeking comprehensive healthcare.

The new health center will help expand access to essential healthcare services by:

  • Bringing primary care, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy services together in one location
  • Making healthcare more accessible and convenient for local residents
  • Reducing the need for patients to travel to multiple locations to meet their healthcare needs
  • Expanding access to affordable, comprehensive care close to home
  • Creating new healthcare jobs in the community
  • Strengthening PHS’s growing network of accessible, community-based healthcare services

For patients, having multiple services available in one location can make it easier to navigate their healthcare and connect with the care and resources they need. The integrated approach also supports PHS’s commitment to treating the whole person and addressing the different factors that contribute to overall health and well-being.

The groundbreaking marks the beginning of a new chapter for healthcare in Preble County. As construction moves forward, Primary Health Solutions looks forward to bringing its mission of accessible, comprehensive care to Eaton and surrounding communities — creating more opportunities for individuals and families to get the care they need, closer to home.
